Job Description
Job Title: Purchasing & Pricing Analyst
Position Overview: This position requires the incumbent to utilize a diverse range of skills and experiences in the overall support of company operations. The position is critical to the overall success to operations and requires a high degree of responsibility. Under the leadership of the General Manager, the Purchasing & Pricing Analyst will own manufacturing and administrative support functions by leveraging industry know-how and hands-on expertise. The position will proactively seek areas to provide support and improvement.
Reporting Relationship: Direct report to the General Manager
Essential Job Functions:
Utilize sound purchasing best practices to keep the plant stocked with critical supplies to operations
Assist in the development and implementation of strategic purchasing methodology
Improve inventory control auditing and accuracy as it pertains to purchasing
Engage highly with the operations team with a hands-on approach to be knowledgeable about materials
Drive accuracy and timeliness of suppliers through invoice reviews
Implement a robust pricing review process and maintain the pricing catalog for customers and suppliers
Aid in the quoting process for pricing updates and interface with the customer as required
Sustain our customer certifications of compliance for various industry requirements
Serve as the primary contact and lead initiatives for special customer requests
Analyze and manage logistics for optimal results and pricing
Other job duties as assigned
Additional Expectations:
Support best-in-class customer service by fielding phone requests and providing prompt and professional issue resolution
Qualifications & Requirements:
1-3 years experience in administrative support, purchasing, customer service or related field
Highly developed computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and ERP systems
Knowledgeable of quoting processes
Strong math skills
Highly professional and courteous
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Other Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency with MAC and PCs
Crystal reports expertise, including report modification and creation is a plus
Comfortable giving presentations and with public speaking
Associates degree in Business or related fieldor equivalent work experience
