Job Description
We are looking for a driven, savvy and experienced Affiliate Marketing Manager to lead and carry on the trajectory of our affiliate program. The Affiliate Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing all affiliate marketing efforts, which is often just one aspect of an organization's overall marketing strategy. The goal of affiliate marketing, also called referral marketing, is to drive sales through third parties. These efforts often overlap with Internet marketing, and in small to mid-sized companies, the departments may be one in the same. Although Affiliate Marketing Managers have many duties, their core responsibilities are to create an affiliate marketing program and continue to refine it so that it becomes increasingly profitable.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Research, track, and identify top current partners or largest growth opportunities to optimize revenue
- Project management skills and cross team communication expert; work with finance, legal, SEO, engineering, sales, and product
- Develop content and go to market strategies to drive customer retention and brand loyalty
- Partner with affiliate networks and advertisers to understand their needs and how our site can be better optimized
- Work closely with the affiliate sales team to set plans and strategies for their top merchants
- Strong understanding and previous use of affiliate network portals, API feeds, Google Analytics, Excel, Powerpoint
- Understand the ebbs and flows of the Affiliate channel and marketing space, competitor research, and technology trends
- Onsite and Offsite SEO expert
- Forecasting and growth expert with the ability to drive actionable and trackable changes
- Expert at creating collateral, PowerPoint decks, case studies, and presentations for clients
- Build marketing strategies around key time frames and holidays. Discover new strategies and potential partnerships
- Monitor the online reputation of the businesses through social and online listening and actively manage the social communities
- Report back on social campaign results using insights, data and listening tools
Education:
- B.A. in Marketing, Business or Business Management, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years experience in affiliate marketing area preferably merchant and ecommerce
- Bachelor’s degree (preferable in marketing area)
- Basic understanding of multi-channel platforms and experience in e-commerce are an advantage
