Peridot Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Person for our rapidly growing CNC Department. Join a fast paced team that works on the most advanced Minimally Invasive Surgical devices using modern high end CNC machines. Clean, well lit, air conditioned facility in Pleasanton CA. Opportunities exist to learn advanced laser processing and EDM as well. Excellent benefit package.

Responsibilities

  • Program and setup Multi Axis CNC Vertical Mills, Multi-Axis Horizontal mills, CNC Swiss Screw machines and CNC Mill-Turn Centers. Work with the Engineering team to provide crucial input on design for manufacturing.
  • Supervise all CNC machining operations across two shifts with multiple direct reports.
  • Work with Director of Operations to effectively plan and schedule to maximize resources.
  • Continuously strive to improve throughput and reduce waste.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner

Requirements

  • 5+ years of multi axis CNC machine programming, setup and operation
  • Lead or supervisor experience with mutiple direct reports
  • Prefer experience with Esprit CAM programming software
  • High speed machining and tool path optimization
  • Ability to program and machine complex and high tolerance components
  • Materials: stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, plastics, copper, brass
  • Passionate about prototyping and machining

  • Well organized and strong verbal communication skills

  • Understands and ensures adherence to required procedures and processes including ISO-13485 and GMP standards
  • Evaluates the manufacturing processes and equipment to look for continuous improvement opportunities

  • Assist in the process design and tooling improvements – comfortable in suggesting and implementing new ideas that improve quality, reduce cost, support production work environment
  • Understands that there are always new opportunities for improvement and eliminating waste
