Job Summary:
Create and execute the online marketing and sales strategy for owned DTC and B2B channels. This role will manage and continually improve the existing business and optimize to drive future growth. The Director of eCommerce will develop and manage the P&L, budgets, reporting performance against web analytics and operating metrics (KPIs) such as traffic growth, conversion, average order size, sales, new buyers, repeat buyers, opt-in, and effectiveness of merchandising and promotional campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Accountable for all e-commerce functional areas – Site Merchandising and Content, User Experience, Acquisition and Retention Marketing, Customer Service and Operations
· Accountable for e-commerce revenue, margin, and expense
· Manage, report and communicate performance against KPIs weekly, monthly and annual forecast
· Continuously assess performance through timely qualitative and quantitative analysis
· Analyze and translate data, identify opportunities, make recommendations and implement plans for improvement
· Site Merchandising, User Experience and Operations
· Ensure site product assortment and content is rich, engaging, complete, accurate and fully optimized for both consumers and search engines
· Collaborate with Brand, Marketing and Product Development teams to develop and execute merchandising assortment, product content, pricing & promotional calendar
· Collaborate with Corporate Planning and Operations teams to ensure proper e-commerce inventory planning.
· Collaborate with Corporate Technology team to continuously evolve site experience by launching new features and functionality driven by customer needs and expectations
· Acquisition and retention marketing and social media
· Develop, manage and communicate cross channel marketing and promotional plans
· Oversee all DTC digital marketing efforts, maintain relationships with multiple agencies driving strategies and accountability for customer acquisition, retention, LTV, social engagement, website traffic, revenue and ROAS
· Collaborate with Brand Teams and agencies on Social Media programs and content to increase engagement and brand awareness
· Collaborate and leverage corporate cross functional teams to deliver on DTC E-commerce strategy & plan
· Hire & provide hands on leadership & mentoring to growing e-commerce team
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience is required
· 4+ years demonstrated success in a hands-on e-commerce leadership role, preferably in consumer-packaged goods and/or fashion
· Experience managing e-commerce agencies
· Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, PIM/DAM
· Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills, including the ability to think creatively and prioritize multiple assignments in a dynamic environment
· Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
· Successful record of working in matrix team structures
Preferred Qualifications:
· MBA
· Cumulative 9 credit hours of accounting
