Shift Supervisor

Pallet World Inc., located in Lugoff, SC., is seeking a Shift Supervisor to manage the day to day operations of a pallet repair production facility. We are looking for candidates that can manage, motivate, and communicate effectively with 15 employees who include pallet builders, quality operators, and forklift drivers. This is a hands on leadership position.

Responsibilities:
•Provide direction to all employees on shift to ensure production schedules are met, quality standards are achieved, equipment is maintained, and employees are properly trained and working in a safe manner and environment.
•Learn and Champion the pallet specification and repair process.
•Assure that production yields and efficiencies are met ensuring 97% acceptable quality limit (AQL) on all repaired pallets.
•Maintain high quality productivity and cost effectiveness through proper scheduling of resources.
•Demonstrate leadership by implementing effective training, safety, communications, and performance recognition to ensure peak employee productivity.
•Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with employees, customers, and the management team.
•Implement and adhere to plant safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience
•Experience working in a manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and/or logistics environment
•Proven track record of success and stability
•Results-oriented and can meet deadlines and commitments
•Previous experience in the pallet repair industry not required.
•Computer skills - - Familiar with Microsoft Office and SAP
