Job Description

The District Manager will have responsibility and accountability for overseeing a large Sports & Entertainment site to ensure specification compliance and customer acceptance within the Industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  The District Manager will be directly responsible for the daily housekeeping, event management and post event/over-night cleaning operations.  The District Manager is responsible for all of the hiring, training and disciplining of employees; scheduling employees; interacting with customers; quality control; and timekeeping functions.  The district Manger will be responsible for as few as 20 to as many as 200+ employees during an event.  Night, weekend and holiday work is required, as needed, based on the event requirements.

In Season – work schedule is very demanding due to event schedules, shifts can last 15 hours or more on event days and occur multiple times during the week and on Holidays.  The District Manager reports directly to the General Manager.

The successful candidate goal should be to improve the game day experience for fans and partners.

REQUIREMENTS:  

1.       Must be proficient with MS Office programs (Word & Excel)

2.       Must be able to interact with demanding customers & expectations. 

3.       Managerial experience is a must, experience managing multiple crews in an arena or stadium venue is REQUIRED;

4.       Must be able to multi-task, have excellent time management skills and a strong ability to communicate with subordinate staff and upper management;

5.       Must be able to work independently

6.       Candidate must be professional, self-confident, and have a sense of urgency. 

7.       Candidate must have valid driver’s license. 

a.       College degree is preferred

b.      Bilingual proficiency is preferred;

 

Additional Client Responsibilities:

1.       The District Manager will be required to supply the client with accurate staffing hours for each event and to reconcile the hours for approval of billing.

2.       The District Manager will be required to supply the client with a schedule of work to be performed for the upcoming week with an updated master schedule at the end of each week and the completion of the “Master Cleaning and Inspection Recap” log at the end of each day.

3.       The District Manager will be required to supply the client with Daily attendance reports and assignments must be submitted to the client weekly.

4.       The District Manager will be required to supply the client with Monthly inventory counts of all required items must be maintained and reported out to the client.

5.       The District Manager will be required to supply the client with Inventory sheets listing all supplies used for each event must be documented after each event. Documentation of all inventory used for general cleaning throughout the month (non-event related) to be completed and provided at the end of each month.
