Job Description

The General Manager will provide leadership and strategic direction for both long and short-term business and strategic plans related to the overall facility growth and success. 

The General Manager, in conjunction with the Oki Golf Director of Operations, will set the fundamental initiatives of the facility and establish priorities in terms of its basic objectives, ensuring alignment with Oki Golf annual initiatives, core values and Universal Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure excellent guest experience by being responsive in a timely and courteous manner
  • Must be proactive in developing innovative ideas to facilitate the continual delivery of exceptional quality products and profit contributions to the company
  • Ensure all team members are well trained in all aspects of guest service
  • Ensure company assets are well protected
  • Ensure all programs are effectively promoted through the use of collateral material and communication
  • Recruit, hire and train team members in accordance with operating procedures
  • Understand and value individual growth and development as well as formulate strategies for growth and development of team members
  • Hold all team members accountable for their areas of responsibility 
  • Ability to drive results through others, providing the appropriate training to subordinates
  • Maintain open lines of communication between all departments working together to ensure the highest level of guest experience
  • Continually look to increase revenue through creatively managing business operations, building and maintaining relationships with members, guests and community leaders
  • Develop and maintain community outreach/networking opportunities
  • Ensure cost control systems are in place and monitored on a weekly basis
  • Ensure all operations are consistent with the Oki Golf and property brand standards

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Able to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments
  • Must have the ability to adapt to change, be flexible and empathetic
  •  Demonstrated initiative – ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of five years previous general manager level experience
  • Ability to operate an Oki Golf property from an entrepreneurial perspective
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as to course of action
