About the Job:

The HVAC General Manager will manage 30+ employees and over $6 Million in revenue and be responsible for coordinating HVAC services and repairs depending on what the customer needs. These activities will include providing technical training, customer service support, individual group meetings, maintaining company standards, customer service and support through effective management of Service Technicians and Dispatch Staff. Growing at a rapid speed, currently $50 Million in sales, we are expanding and searching for a dynamic HVAC General Manager who is willing to learn, grow and take on additional responsibilities. This is a role that will determine either the success or failure of the HVAC Service Department. Is this job right for you?

About the Requirements/Skills:

Ø Mandatory 10+ Years within the HVAC Residential Industry – Do not apply without HVAC experience. Do
Not apply if you only have commercial experience.
Ø 5+ Years experience in a management role within the industry
Ø High School or Technical School diploma or certificate of completion
Ø Knowledge of HVAC equipment, tools and materials
Ø Extensive technical skills within the trade
Ø Customer/Client Interfacing
Ø Ability & willingness to work a flexible schedule as necessary to meet customer requirements
Ø Understanding of operational concepts including planning, scheduling, and logistics
Ø Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ø Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

About the Responsibilities:

Ø Directly manages Service and Dispatch staff members. This includes but is not limited to include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ø Stay abreast of industry technological developments and convey this knowledge to team members
Ø Coordinate team member activities to ensure individual and team goals are consistently achieved; ensure team members are working up to the highest standards in all aspects of their positions; conduct regular meetings with team members to review company policy and procedures, performance, quality and safety statistics
Ø Interface effectively with other departments
Ø Ensure employees provide superior customer service; conducts ride-a-longs with Service Technicians
Ø Provide customer service support, as necessary; respond to customer inquiries and problems in a timely manner; resolve excessive consumption problems
Ø Promote and support the Company brand
