Job Description

Obella Living is looking for a part time retail sales associate who cares about the quality of products and services they represent, their customers, and their co-workers. We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, energized, customer service and sales-focused.  If you love beautiful things for the home, helping people, and making money; we want to talk with you!

Obella Living will grand open on the historic Dahlonega GA square April 15th 2018.  Currently operated as Asmyca Home Arts, the Obella Living concept will expand our foot print into even more inspiring and beautiful products for the home.  We specialize in quality fireplace hearth accessories and home decorative accessory products. Specifically, fireplace screens and accessories, metal wall arts, home decorative accessories, and custom-made works.

Interviews will take place in March with a start date of April 15th.  There will be one required training in March prior to our April grand opening.

Responsibilities:

In this customer service-oriented retail sales associate position, you will be greeting customers, selling a diverse mix of home décor products, coordinating product shipments to customers, tracking sales, and performing customer follow up.

Job Requirements

• Prior to April 15th grand opening you will need to be available for a 4 to 5 hour training seminar
• Open/flexible schedule availability is a must.  Schedule will vary from week to week.  Weekend availability is required, however occasional Saturday or Sunday off is possible
• Greet guests and assist with product questions and selections
• Efficiently process all sales in the Point of Sale System and handle monetary transactions accurately and effectively
• Accurately set up shipments for customers not carrying out
• Maintain excellent store appearance and assist with store merchandising to provide a positive shopping experience for our guests
• Delivering top-tier customer service to every customer, building loyalty and referrals
• Retail experience a plus but not required
• Basic Windows (point/click) experience is required; MSOffice is preferred
• Team oriented, positive, upbeat and friendly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
• Capable of regularly lifting 50+ lbs with some kneeling, bending and stooping
• Must be 18+ years old
• High School Diploma (or GED) is required; some college or a degree is a plus
