Job Description
We are seeking a Trucking Department Supervisor to join our team! You will be responsible for managing a 24/7 trucking operation; including, safely and compliance programs, equipment tracking and maintenance, performance metrics and cost tracking, and driver scheduling. This position requires some (CDL) driving when schedules and volume dictate.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee 16 drivers in the safe operation of manufacturing plant shuttle fleet.
- Train and monitor staff on safety and compliance requirements.
- Manage labor scheduling to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery performance.
- Track, inspect, and schedule maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment.
- Develop and track diver and department performance.
- Perform shuttle runs during volume spike and driver shortages.
- Support internal warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in truck driving, driver supervision, or other related fields
- Commercial driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Email
- Strong work ethic
