ROLE SUMMARY

 

The Operations Pricing Analyst is primarily responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fusion’s Price Policy through day-to-day administration of Fusion’s pricing guidelines. The Operations Pricing Analyst will oversee the pricing for stock items, custom pricing and long-term contract pricing and ensure pricing policies and procedures align with Fusion’s overall business strategy. This role will interface and communicate frequently with sales team members to review historical pricing, manage margin erosion, review transportation cost and ensure pricing is presented with supportive analysis. Additional responsibilities include providing general financial support to the operations team, as detailed below.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Utilize internal resources to validate key components of a client’s demographics and product mix to ensure timely and accurate price quotes are delivered

· Review and analyze client specifications and provide feedback and direction utilizing approved pricing policies

· Provide concise and accurate responses to pricing process and price policy inquiries

· Coordinate conversations/meetings and maintain an agenda for outstanding requests that follow and demonstrate the overall pricing integrity of individual exception requests; Effectively coordinate pricing exception requests for discussion and approval

· Continuously monitor, audit and analyze price quote activity to ensure risks are identified and addressed; Ensure pricing formulas and tables are properly maintained for approved pricing changes

· Recognize and anticipate missing data from price quote exception requests and obtain required information to ensure proper review of relevant facts pertaining to the proposed opportunity

· Maintain Pricing Activity reports and perform routine maintenance of reports to ensure accuracy of pricing templates

· Work with operations leadership on development of annual budgets, interim forecasts, and demand plans for submission to the factories

· Develop, monitor, and drive policies and procedures around key operations touch points – transportation, cost savings, samples, etc.

· Develop and maintain key operations metrics

· Prepare ad hoc financial analysis/reports for operations team

· Partner with Accounting team on month-end activities and year-end audit procedures

· Lead or participate in other assigned projects

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math/Statistics, Accounting, Finance or related fields from an accredited college or university
  • Two or more years of pricing analysis experience required
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry or dealing with physical product pricing
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills; Intermediate to advanced Excel experience

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:

· Reports to the CFO
