Position Summary

Technidyne Corporation is seeking an Electronic Service Technician for our Midwest area territory, to assist customers with the long-term maintenance of Technidyne test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support via phone, email and fax communication with customers and sales/service agents

  • Assist Area Manager with, instrument demonstrations, trials, and installations.

  • Travel and perform on-site, scheduled maintenance & calibration on equipment

  • Travel and perform emergency service calls on an as needed basis

  • Maintain tools, parts inventory, and computer

Requirements

  • Certificate in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Technology  or equivalent experience required.

  • 3+ years of customer service experience preferred

  • Willingness and ability to travel, approximately 50% (some weekends)

  • Understanding of electronics, software and hardware systems

  • Understanding of and prior experience working in the Pulp and Paper industry, desired.

  • Demonstrated strong electro-mechanical trouble-shooting skills is necessary.

  • Basic understanding on assigning IP addresses.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office® and other Windows® programs efficiently

  • Good communications skills, written and verbal

  • Employment contingent on driving record approved by Company insurance, and successful background check and drug screen.

  • Ability to set up home office and work from home.

  • Able to acquire a U.S. passport

  • Must be capable of heavy lifting (50-100 lbs)
