Job Description
The Service Deli Clerk is responsible for providing prompt & friendly customer service, and assisting customers with orders. The position demands a high degree of detail, excellent customer service, and a strong sense of teamwork.
A deli clerk must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age, and have a school diploma or equivalent
- Highly motivated to deliver exceptional customer service, greeting customers and answering questions in a welcoming manner, being attentive to the customer's needs and providing recommendations when requested while obliging requests made by the customer
- Enjoy working with a sense of urgency within a fast paced environment
- Must be able to stand for up to 4 hour continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Basic knowledge of math, weights and measurements required
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes including nights, weekends and holidays
