New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Transfer Pricing Analyst for one of our clients in the Houston, TX area
The Transfer Pricing Analyst will report to the Transfer Pricing Manager within the company’s Corporate Tax Department. This person will be expected to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
· Draft functional analyses with direction and supervision from Transfer Pricing Manager and Senior Transfer Pricing Analyst. Prepare functional questionnaires and data requests to gather necessary financial and descriptive information from business segments. Participate annually in business segment interviews to gather necessary financial and descriptive information that supplements various transfer pricing analyses.
· Prepare proactive calculations of proposed transfer pricing adjustments twice annually to ensure the material intercompany transactions are within the required arm’s length ranges as compared to third-party comparable data. Review and analyze financial statement details.
· Review current transfer pricing policies for effectiveness and propose changes as necessary under the direction of the Manager and Senior Analyst.
· Participate in the compilation and consolidation of local country data for consistent reporting pursuant to the OECD BEPS Actions under the direction of the Manager and Senior Analyst.
· Assist the Senior Analyst with coordinating the calculation and analysis of the company’s Country-by-Country (CbC) Report.
· With Manager and Senior Analyst, prepare internally or assist third-party service advisors in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation in accordance with US and foreign requirements.
· Assist with drafting responses to notices and inquiries from various taxing authorities, when necessary.
· Prepare quarterly calculations of management fees, interunit mark-up, and intercompany royalty sourcing. Create and maintain intercompany agreements and related binders.
· Communicate professionally with operational personnel under supervision of the Manager and Senior Analyst.
· Familiarize self with transfer pricing concepts and current events with the guidance of supervisors.
· Maintain open communication with the Manager and Senior Analyst regarding the progress of completion on projects.
· Experience with operating remotely operated overhead cranes.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field
· Minor in Statistics, Actuarial Science, International Business, or Accounting preferred
· CPA or CFA (candidate) preferred
· 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, tax, accounting, or similar role
· Experience with CorpTax or relevant tax software is a plus
· Very good analytical, problem solving skills, including business and tax research
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Must be able to work with complex excel models.
· Excellent communication skills, including writing skills in English
