Showroom Sales Associate

Needham Decorative Hardware in Needham, MA is looking for an enthusiastic and self-starter to join their showroom sales team. The prime candidate should have a can-do attitude with the mentality that there is nothing below them. They should be able to work in a small open office environment and willing to help out where needed.

We will train you to learn the hardware, plumbing and lighting trade. We work with a sophisticated clientele including architects, builders, contractors, interior designers, and home owners. We assist the clients on the showroom floor with specifying hardware, plumbing and lighting.

The daily routine can include but not limited to:

• Creating estimates in a timely manner
• Assist clients in the process of product selection
• Creating invoices
• Answering phones and emails
• Assisting with walk in the customers

This position requires the individual to have excellent telephone manners, the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, and good computer skills. The prospective employee should be organized and able to keep their desk neat. The candidate should be able to lift at least 40 pounds.

Previous showroom experience and/or design background is a plus.

We are looking for someone to fill showroom hours: Mon -- Fri 8:30 - 5:00 as well as Sat 10:00 -- 3:00 (3 Saturdays a month are typical)

Compensation: hourly wages with paid sick days, holidays, vacation, and a 401k etc.
