Job Description

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Soft Count clerk to join our team! This position requires adhering to the high standards, policies and procedures of cash handling at Great American Casinos.

Key Responsibilities
•Provide superior customer service in all functions with guests and staff in a prompt, courteous, pleasant and professional manner
• Responsible for the redemption of gaming chips in compliance with cash handling procedures, internal controls, company policies and procedures and/or Washington State Gambling Commission (WSGC) policies and procedures; report any violations to the appropriate level as necessary
• Balance Cash Float and all banks at the beginning and end of shifts
• Keep working areas organized
• Maintain control of the Cashier keys and ensure their return
• Complete currency and check transactions, track player financial activities and complete reports and forms as required to comply with the Internal Revenue Service and the Washington State Gambling Commission and Company policies and procedures
• Acquire and maintain a strong knowledge of all Cage policies and procedures; Ensure all transactions are processed and recorded in accordance with Company Internal Controls and Standard Operating Procedures
• Participate in a professional, constructive and supportive environment for all Casino staff with an attention to open communication and a team concept
• Preserve Casino, staff and guest confidentiality while at work and away from work
• Comply with all requirements communicated to the employee through the Company HR policies, Departmental Manual and Employee Handbook and their periodic updates
• Adhere to all GAGC, WSGC and HR policies as they relate to functions of the position
• Any other duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Qualifications
• Cash handling experience in a customer service position
• Ability to operate adding machines, currency counters, computers and other related equipment
• Self motivating in an independent position with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of computers
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
• Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills and a team player
• Must possess excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
• Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence

Licensing Requirements
Employment is dependent upon licensure by the Washington State Gambling Commission (WSGC). New employees shall begin work after their WSGC license is approved. Existing team members shall renew licensing annually.
