Retail Receiving Clerk- Hardware Store - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary: Full-time RETAIL STOCK RECEIVING CLERK position. This person will also fill in as a cashier. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to walk in customers and contractors by helping them locate the proper products and materials for their job, project or problem. The cashier will handle cash, credit and charge account transactions. This person will also assist with inventory receiving and store merchandising.

This position is located in at 5229 Hwy 90 W Tillman's Corner, Mobile, Alabama.

Requirements:

BUILDING MATERIALS or HARDWARE EXPERIENCE IS A HUGE PLUS!

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Must be able to count and handle money
• Must understand the importance of giving customers a WOW customer service experience and be committed to providing superior service.
• MUST have a positive attitude, friendly demeanor and be able to answer the phone with a SMILE.
• Must be personable and professional, computer literate with excellent verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with management, colleagues and customers.
• Knowledge of building materials, millwork, and related products (trusses, roofing, etc.) a plus.
• Sales experience a plus.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs, stoop, bend, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, work with hands, be on feet all day.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screens
• Must be able to work some Saturday mornings.
