What We are Looking for:

StarChapter is looking for someone with a strong work ethic, robust communication skills, and is an energetic and collaborative person to join our sales team.

The Internet Sales Associate is a vital position on our sales team.  You will assist in lead qualification for our North American market.  This is done by reaching out to volunteer, decision making leaders within these associations to schedule online demonstrations.

StarChapter is looking for an open minded person, willing to develop the necessary sales skills needed for this position, as well as learning about the professional and trade association market.

What You’ll Do:

  • Become an expert in engaging and converting prospects over the phone through both outbound calls to schedule demonstrations with key decision makers and handling inbound leads from prospective customers
  • Profile potential prospects via predetermined criteria
  • Manage a variety of sales automation and online prospecting tools to keep leads, contacts and opportunities organized
  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipelines by scheduling demos with qualified prospects
  • Work closely with Account Executives to move prospects through pipeline to the closing of a sale
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the StarChapter software and service
  • Grow relationships established with associations that do business with StarChapter
  • Attend industry events to see the impact of StarChapter on the associations
  • Achieve or exceed quotas of demos and qualified opportunities generated
  • Continually look to improve sales ability and performance through collaborative training


What Should You Have:

  • Clear and polished written communication skills
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills and ability to engage with prospects over the phone
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive and high production environment
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Methodical and organized
  • Technologically proficient and able to learn how to use a variety of online and sales automation tools
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and independent
  • Native or Fluent English, additional languages are a plus
  • Prior experience with a CRM and other sales automation tools is a plus
  • Inside sales or sales development experience (selling over the phone, cold calling), B2B at a software company is a plus
