Job Description
Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the production shift. Assists in creating a smooth transition between other shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Communicating daily activities to Plant Superintendent
-Communicate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering departments
-Coordinate materials requirements making necessary changes related to schedule and/or schedule changes.
-Coordinate finished goods and outside processes for product availability for on time shipping
-Scheduling of employees as needed to meet shipping requirements
-Training of new hires and cross training of current employees so that daily efficiencies are met and/or exceeded
-Assure training schedule records are updated as necessary and that these records are accurate per TS16949
-Continuous monitoring of product quality.
-Material handling as required
-Availability for overtime with or without advance notice
-Verifying production floor paperwork.
-Other duties as assigned by management staff
Education/Experience:
Associates Degree in supervision or experience equivalent is required. Knowledge and ability to run each machine on the production floor is preferred.
