Ecommerce Merchandising Assistant - Full-time / Part-time

The Ecommerce Merchandising Assistant’s primary role is to assist in the merchandising of websites and catalog for multiple brands ensuring efficiency and accuracy of information is maintained. The ultimate goal is to assist the Ecommerce Merchandiser in all efforts to meet online revenue and gross margin objectives for the business.

Reports directly to the Ecommerce Merchandising Manager

Essential Tasks & Responsibilities:

Assists in maintaining product information and details on websites & catalogs

• Responsible for maintaining product categorization and pricing across multiple websites in accordance with online marketing programs and catalog launches
• Works as a liaison with the e-commerce marketing team to maintain merchandising standards across multiple brands
• Assist in the management of product listings on company website, including creation, maintenance, and data integrity. Ensures consistency between information on the website & business database & catalog
• Assists with selecting product for email features and special promotions.
• Other special projects relating to merchandising the catalog (sets up sku’s & analyzes sales data)
• Product assortment planning and maintenance

· Liaison with warehouse facility to troubleshoot and problem solve product issues

· Investigate and resolve product related customer service issues as related to product or vendors

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience managing content and merchandising websites.

· Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly Excel

· Basic Photoshop experience is desirable

· Familiarity (not required) with website user interface portals & social media – i.e. Amazon, eBay, website software, Facebook

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Highly motivated, ambitious, and able to thrive in a team atmosphere

Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast, deadline driven environment
