Merchandiser

SUMMARY

Local subject matter expert in all facets relating to merchandising. Assists in the general upkeep and merchandising of stores. Makes daily account visitations, places product, conducts video surveillance, and communicates promotions to route drivers. Reports findings to management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the initial set up, filling, and merchandising of new stores to include close interaction with the customer.
• Use existing software to create planograms, generate product orders, and print price tags for new store openings or for the re-merchandising of existing stores.
• Work with various computer programs and electronic equipment to gather / record data accurately.
• Create reports to track consumption, waste, shrink and account visitation results.
• Monitor video feeds for suspected theft.
• Execute product changes in each store and update any promotional point of sale materials or marketing information.
• Perform accurate inventories as needed.
• Perform regular inspections of the stores to ensure compliance with any contract terms, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate promotions.
• Conduct training with new and existing employees.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous industry experience in c-store, grocery, or retail product merchandising preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Position may require bending, squatting, grabbing, grasping, twisting, standing, stooping, stair climbing and walking at times. Must be able to lift full racks and boxes, not to exceed fifty (50) pounds. Position may require ability to repetitively push/pull, not to exceed two hundred (200) pounds on a wheeled cart.
