Job Description

The Commercial Laundry Service Technician (CLST) is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining large industrial commercial laundry processing equipment such as washers, dryers, ironers, and folding equipment. Our equipment contracts service the hospitality, government, laundromats, and multifamily housing industries in multiple locations. CLST candidates need to have extensive knowledge and skills in all areas of commercial laundry equipment repair, services, and installation processes. CLST representatives are provided a smartphone pre-loaded with the Field Service Management App, uniforms, company service vehicle, food and lodging when applicable, training workshops, and a tool purchasing program. This position offers a great salary, benefits, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and relocation assistance available. Salary dependent on experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on commercial laundry processing equipment.

  • Responds to daily maintenance requests in a timely fashion to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment.

  • Trouble shooting and diagnostics including but not limited to: start-up and shut-down cycles, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining, or repairing systems.

  • Remains current in technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications on equipment and repair procedures.

  • Maintains accurate and timely records of services performed.

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Liaison between field operations and internal customer service support.

  • Obtain part numbers for parts ordering and scheduling.

  • Light wash cycle control system programing.

  • Drive and pick up parts, transport equipment, parts, etc.

     

Experience and Requirements:

  • 1-year commercial laundry equipment experience.

  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics, meters, blueprints, and manufacturer’s manuals to determine correct operation of machinery.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.

  • Experience working with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems for commercial applications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills between manufacturer tech support and field operations.

  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or other safety violations.

Typical Environmental Conditions


Inside and outside areas of a typical industrial laundry facilities, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature, noise, odors, humidity, lint and dust, in or on outside grounds.
