Retail Operations Manager - Full-time / Part-time

Acker Merrall & Condit, the oldest wine merchant in the U.S., is hiring an experienced Retail Business/Operations Manager to drive the business of our store. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of business operations as well as setting strategic goals for the future. Must be well-versed in business and a competent leader to provide guidance that enhances performance in the manner which incorporates the company’s vision and culture. The goal is to ensure the profitability of our store’s activities driving sustainable development and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

· Gather, analyze and interpret external and internal data

· Run reports and communicate with CEO and other senior team members

· Develop goals and objectives that tend to growth and prosperity

· Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals

· Access overall company performance against objectives

· Manage Inventory with regular counts

· Manage online prices and store sales

· Drive In-Store Marketing Initiatives working closely with Marketing team

Requirements:

· Proven experience as business manager or relevant role

· Excellent organizational and leadership skills

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

· Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development

· Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems; Great Plains knowledge a plus

· Good understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques

· BS/BA in Business Management or relevant field; MS/MA will be a Plus
