Job Description

Responsible to ensure all molded and finished production meets established quality control specifications by:

  • Ensuring that employees have sufficient job training and information to efficiently perform their tasks in terms of both quality and quantity with frequent follow-ups after initiation
  • Participate in the team effort of the Quality Department and supervisor to maintain a smooth flow of production parts of the highest quality
  • To report any equipment malfunction immediately
  • Rectifying quality problems by discussing situation with the Quality Department, Production Manager, and Operations Manager to decide on action to be taken
  • Ensuring technicians are performing to job standard
  • Monitoring scrap rate so that it does not exceed established limits. If it does exceed established limits advise Production Manager immediately and decide on course of action to be taken
  • Actively participate in production meetings to determine production requirements.
  • Delegate work assignments to the technicians ensuring complete understanding so that quality standards and customer delivery dates are met
  • Making recommendations on required changes to existing and new tooling and prototypes, ensuring better quality parts and less rejects

Ensure employees perform efficiently and effectively so that production and quality standards are maintained by:

  • Monitoring department and taking whatever corrective action is necessary to maintain production standards
  • Monitor efficiency standards and take whatever corrective action is necessary in order to meet the set standard
  • Oversee the Process Technicians, Set-Up Technicians, and Material Handler Technicians
  • Oversee new product trials and recommend process parameters

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or five (5) years related manufacturing experience
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Supervisory Skills
  • Decision making skills
  • Expertise in blow molding
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Five years of experience in blow molding
