General Purpose of the Audio Visual Lead Technician:
Responsible for the overall execution and completion of assigned jobs to include, management of personnel on the job site, daily reporting of job progression, implementation of safety procedures on the job site and JSA management, execution of the scope of work in accordance with industry standards, and delivery of a finalized product which meets or exceeds customer expectation.

 

Job Description:
South Carolina based systems integrator specializing in the audio-visual, security systems and structural cabling industry is looking for a full time position for an experienced Audio Visual Lead Tech with a high level of technical skill and a desire to produce and join our team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: site management, oversight of compliance with implemented site safety measures, communicate daily with Project Managers on site/job progression, and must be able to fluently interact with contractors, engineers, company staff and clients. Some travel is required with this position.

Required Skills:

  • minimum of 6 years' experience in installation in the AV industry or related field (minimum CTS Certified, preferred CTS-I)

  • 1 Audio DSP platform certification preferred (Ex: Biamp, ClearOne, Polycom)

  • 1 Video processing platform certification preferred (Ex: Extron, RGB, Planar)

  • 1 Control System platform certification preferred (Ex: AMX, Crestron, Extron)

  • 1 Video Conferencing platform certification preferred (Ex: Cisco, Polycom, Vidyo)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • must be experienced in the operation of all types of aerial lifts.

  • safety oriented with full understanding of power and hand tool safety

  • firm understanding of the use of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • experience with Microsoft Project

  • plan and manage daily task completion on the work site

  • lead daily site safety orientation and oversee compliance

  • manage and track site resources and equipment

  • provide insight to team members on task execution and proper implementation

  • closely monitor job progress and communicate any deviations to the scope of work and its implementation

  • constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to Project Manager

  • assist the Project Manager in the requesting and allocation of labor and tracking of resource consumption
