About this job
Currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to assist with HVAC, plumbing or piping design for projects within the commercial sector (e.g. healthcare, corporate, higher education, universities, etc..)
Individual will build and maintain relationships with clients and project partners, and is responsible for the overall design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical Degree or AS in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design from an accredited technical college
- Fundamental knowledge of building systems across disciplines. Proven expertise in at least one discipline area such as fire protection, HVAC, plumbing/piping, electrical, technology, instrumentation and controls, process or lighting systems.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and in the current version of AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
- Understanding of applicable design codes, design standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborating with others.
- General knowledge of projects within the commercial sector.
- Ability to access BIM models
- Good decision making
