VP-Information Technology




Job Summary
Senior-most executive accountable for direction and outcomes of all technology, technical operations and engineering functions of the organization worldwide. Will organize, plan, direct and lead this critical component of the organization and will be capable of providing input into the strategic, business and operating plans of the entire organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Manage professionals in development and Systems Operations to include system administration, database administration and QA

· Create and run hyper-efficient and hyper-productive technical deployment infrastructure

· Develop, recommend, administer and evaluate policies, procedures and standard required to provide flexible, cost effective IT services internally

· Solve information technology business issues while managing costs and risks

· Identify and evaluate new technological developments and gauge applicability to business processes

· Develop and manage efficient and motivated teams across multiple platforms, geographies, and in varying environments.

· Be an advocate throughout the organization for the effective application of technology

· Use best combination of outsourcing, business process improvement and automation to achieve goals

· Develop and implement quality assurance program related to your functions

· Develop short term and long term corporate-wide IT plans to priorities aligned with overall IT and business direction and vision

· Develop an enterprise architecture that realizes great information technology value through integration of disparate systems, unified architecture, increased productivity, cost savings, better decision making and increased profitability

· Maintain effective and responsive relationship with major technology vendors

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervises the entire IT department

Education and Experience

· Approximately 10 years or more experience in IT leadership positions in complex, technologically-driven organizations

· Preferred: Masters Degree in Information Technology

· Experience in technology strategy, analysis and planning in a complex domestic and/or global environment, and evaluating and recommending products/services which ensure alignment with overall corporate and business unit strategy

· Understand how technology can impact business models and drivers

· Experience in diagnosing, analyzing, designing, implementing, and evaluating large scale technological solutions with measurable results within a distributed organization

Computer Skills

Experience supporting distributed data center environment, wide area network Protocols and Topologies, Enterprise level directories, email, Database and WEB technologies. Windows, AIX, networks, firewall, high availability solutions, virtual machines and wireless infrastructure.
