General Description/Purpose

The primary function of the Receiver Stocker is to distribute and stock merchandise throughout the store. This includes caring for store equipment and cleaning hazardous materials spills. The Receiver Stocker is also responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting customers in locating, selecting, demonstrating, and loading of merchandise in a friendly and professional manner. The Receiver Stocker is also expected to maintain a safe and secure work environment by securing doors and gates and monitoring for potential theft or security risks. Lastly, the Receiver Stocker is responsible for completing all other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule
Requires late evening, night-time, and early morning availability any day of the week. Required to work a Corporate schedule determined by Staffing Department, but may be changed by store management based on the needs of the store. Requests to be scheduled off for a specific day require advanced notification and approval by supervisor. Hourly Full Time or Part Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 or 10 to 25 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store.

Key Responsibilities

- Uses box bailer to compress cardboard that is sent to receiving.

Cleans hazardous materials spills by keeping the spill contained, applying absorption compound, placing the spill in a bag, marking it, and

tying it off. Assures proper storage and disposal of all hazardous materials.

- Participates in training for Hazmat, equipment, and safety procedures.

- Ensures products are stocked and fronted according to planograms and keeps aisles clear and neat.

Greets and acknowledges all customers in a friendly, professional manner; provides quick, responsive customer service; and understands

and responds appropriately to basic customer and employee inquiries.

- Blocks off aisles while moving freight.

- Tapes up boxes that are not emptied completely and marks item number.

Ensures full shelf capacity standards are in place during stocking practices; down stocks by noting areas where merchandise is low, and

moving top stock into alignment with display on middle shelving.

- Cares for store equipment by refueling and charging when necessary.

Notifies Department Manager (DM) when products in box do not match box description and records what was received versus what is

missing.

- Ensures efficient disbursement of product from receiving to appropriate department.

- Assists customers as needed in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.

- Completes stocking and/or topstock of direct (TL-LTL) freight as assigned on the Freight Flow Work list.

Ensures good housekeeping standards are in place, and programs, such as Area Recovery, are executed daily to guarantee that the store

(including work areas) is clean and organized at all times.

- Monitors power equipment use, ensures it adheres to Lowe's safety standards, and reports any violations to immediate supervisors.

- Re-sorts incorrectly sorted items by delivering items to the specific department.

- Notifies Manager/Manager on Duty (MOD) of customer complaints, dissatisfaction, and procedure violations.

Participates in recycling programs by making sure proper materials (e.g., Appliances, Plastics, and Batteries) are recycled (e.g., Cardboard

bale, Appliance trailer, or Front of store) as appropriate.

Detects common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicates them to management and/or Loss

Prevention.

- Performs receiving duties, overstock maintenance (bullpen), and Area recovery.

- Ensures all damaged items are placed on an assigned pallet and remain in the receiving area.
