Production - Bottling/Packing

A manufacturer located in San Clemente is looking for Production employees. The position involves assisting in the pulling and organizing of raw materials, operation of a production line, and packaging of finished goods. The hours are 7:30AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday and the pay is $13 an hour. This is a temp to hire position. Once hired by the company, employees are eligible for a comprehensive package of employee benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Support the manufacturing team by performing the following:

• Loading and unloading bottles from the line
• Inserting caps into the bottles
• Checking for quality issues throughout the bottling process
• Performing line clearance after production runs
• Swapping out change parts and resetting the line between production runs

Ensure quality standards are maintained by performing the following:

• Checking the fill level of bottles to standard
• Checking the placement of labels to standard
• Ensuring all components used are for the product being made
• Final inspection of bottles before being released to inventory

Maintain maintenance and cleaning standards during changeover and shut down by performing the following:

• Flushing and/or cleaning wetted parts after productions runs
• Keeping line clean during and after production runs
• Keeping the work-space clean and free from debris, spills, and trash

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one to three months related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal & written)
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reliable attendance/punctuality
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• Able to stand/sit at a production line for long periods of time.
