Material Handler (Forklift Driver) - Full-time

The Material Handler is responsible for the physical processing of finished goods, returns and inventory variances.

The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:

• Moving materials using hand-truck, electric dolly, fork truck, clamp truck or other devices.
• Ongoing training pertaining to health and safety work practices and procedures.
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Collecting finished product from manufacturing line, Quality Lab, or conveyor.
• Loading finished product onto truck or rail car.
• Unloading raw materials from truck or rail car.
• Delivering required raw materials to manufacturing lines.
• Moving waste from assembly lines to recycle area for pickup.
• Counting, weighing and recording units of material moved/handled on daily production sheet

Qualification

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Relevant Work Experience

• 2 - 3 years’ experience in all warehouse operations practices and inventory management.

Additional Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and ability to be systematic.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Must be willing to work any shift and/or flexible schedules as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots/shoes.
