BASIC PURPOSE: Supervise the daily operations of the Security unit and search for, respond to and handle any security problems, issues, concerns, disaster, emergency situations in accordance with all policies, procedures and regulations to ensure the safety and security of the hotel's assets, guests and employees.

Full Time. $18.50 per hour. Full Benefits. Open Schedule availability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Supervise the Security staff; interview, recommend hiring, train, schedule, assign and monitor work, prepare payroll, coach and counsel, recommend performance evaluations and discipline as required.

2.Patrol all areas of the hotel property including outside parking lots.  Note, search for, handle and report any unusual circumstances, safety violations, car theft, destruction and/or suspicious or undesirable persons and escort off property if necessary.

3.Complete, review and maintain the daily log, security forms and reports to document losses of property or personal injury to a guest or employee, incidents of safety violations and daily events.

4.Maintain familiarity of hotel disaster & emergency policies, procedures & regulations; train employees on procedures.

5.Respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine course of action, notify appropriate authorities and perform first aid and CPR as needed.

6.Conduct security investigations.

7.Enforce `No Solicitation Policy' of the hotel.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain the security of the hotel key system; issue and receive keys.

2. Escort and witness cash handling as needed.

3. Assist in shipping and receiving operations.

Knowledge and Skills:

Education:Post high school education or equivalent experience.

Experience:Minimum two years in security/loss prevention

Skills and Abilities:Leadership, supervisory and administrative skills.  Ability to perform CPR and First Aid.  Ability to operate and communicate through a portable radio.  Effective communication skills.
