HVAC Technician - Full-time

The successful Senior HVAC Technician will have;:

• Must have current Journeyman HVAC Licenses in any state and be able to obtain the same license in the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming within the first 6 months of employment.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 7 or more years of relevant job experience with 5 or more years of experience at the HVAC/R Journeyman level and a minimum of 2 years’ experience must be at a 24/7 critical facility.
• Possess EPA Certification/CFC Licenses.
• Ability to read blueprints, Interpret product specifications and drawings
• Work any shift assigned as dictated by the needs of the business – including weekends/overtime as necessary.
• Climb and crawl into tight and difficult spaces.
• Lift 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience as an electrician or performing electrician-related tasks.
• Be a self-starter, have the ability to plan work activities, determine materials and timeframe needed, identify safety hazards, and write a method of procedure.
• Experience working with and manipulating building automation systems

Dish is looking for a Journeyman HVAC/R Technician for its Cheyenne, WY uplink facility to be responsible for repairing, installing, replacing, and testing HVAC/R, control circuits, equipment, appliances and repair of environmental control systems. Will have an in-depth knowledge of Heating and Air Conditioning systems Including chillers, cooling towers, Computer Room Air Conditioner Units (DX and Chilled water) RTU’s, (DX and chilled water) and Air Handling Units.
 
Primary responsibilities include:

• Assist workers engaged in installation, repair, and service of environmental control systems.
• Perform advanced maintenance and repair on large chillers.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install duct-work and chassis parts.
• Cut, bend, fit, thread and join piping and tubing.
• Install air and water filters. Adjusts controls as necessary.
• Connect, adjust, and troubleshoot temperature controls systems.
• Lubricate fans, motors, and control units. Must be able to follow blueprints or engineering specifications
• Perform general facilities maintenance tasks including snow removal, painting, cleaning, landscaping, and other tasks as assigned.
