The Instructional Designer III in Manufacturing will work in tandem with subject matter experts, facilitators, and other Stakeholders. They will develop and maintain training programs and materials by evaluating training needs and providing input and suggestions for design of new curriculum and improvements of existing curriculum. 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 3-5 years of related experience; or 5-7 years direct field related experience
  • High level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
  • Ability to train preferred
  • Must be highly resourceful, self-directed with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability effectively screen requests directed at Executive Staff and independently resolves most requests
  • Work closely with Senior IDD and Senior Training and Development Manager to develop strategies for curriculum deployment
  • Assess, design, develop, and evaluate learning and organizational development (OD) solutions to support leaders and individual contributors at DISH including developing multimedia elements to support classroom-based instructor-led, e-learning and mobile content (graphics, video, audio, etc.)
  • Implement style guide and design document standards to ensure consistency across projects
  • Utilize an instructional design methodology for all project work (ADDIE or similar)
  • Utilize adult learning theory to design and develop learning programs that meet the needs of a diverse audience
  • Manage multiple L&D project deliverables and timelines to achieve goals, objectives, and quality expectations
  • Stay current with technology and adult learning trends and shares knowledge with the team.
