This is a pipeline role for the Market Executive position. The person in this role must be in the Leader in Development (LiD) program or in the pipeline for LiD, and is responsible for successfully participating in and completing the development activities in the LiD program. The person in this role functions as a member of the market leadership team, responsible for a wide variety of delegated functions related to the Market Executive's overall managerial responsibilities for parent and associate offices.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, dynamic leader, with strong coaching and mentoring abilities and a strong commitment to the client experience. S/he will be a proven recruiter and committed to promoting Financial Advisor business growth/development by demonstrating the ability to connect with Financial Advisors in implementing firm-wide initiatives. Courageous leadership skills coupled with disciplined process management and strong collaboration across the enterprise is critical.

The person in this role will support the Market Executive, who:

* Leads the market (typically consisting of a parent and associate offices) to achieve the business goals, leveraging the team consisting of an Administrative Manager, Client Relationship Manager, Resident Directors, Financial Advisors, Client Associates and Operations staff

* Drives market performance results through planning, leading, and executing strong sales and service behaviors across the 3 core client segments served (Affluent, Ultra High Net Worth, and Institutional)

* Manages the market financials, including profit and loss management, customer and revenue growth, and loss prevention

* Acquires talent through hiring experienced Financial Advisors and trainees

* Develops a productive management, sales and support team through mentoring, coaching and practice management consulting

* Partners with the Banking & Investment product specialists to ensure full capabilities of the firm are packaged for the client

* Interacts with clients on an advanced level regarding sales activities, account information, procedures, systems and range of financial services products

* Manages risk and ensures all team members are protecting the interests of the firm while enhancing the client experience

* Promotes and recognizes performance; adheres to the performance management process, policies and tools

* Participates in community affairs to increase visibility of the "brand" and enhance new and existing business opportunities

The ideal candidate has demonstrated the following:

* Experience running a large scale, high performing sales organization with strong understanding of Advisory business

* Sales leadership and Advisory business acumen

* Knowledge of the Wealth Management business, sales and marketing, regulatory and supervisory requirements, corporate policies and procedures; including firm-wide initiatives

* Strong probing, communication, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

* Demonstrated leadership proficiency in people, risk, financial and practice management

* Ability to define business strategy, set clear objectives and measure progress

* Candidates are preferred to currently hold Series 7 AND Series 66 (or Series 63 AND Series 65), Series 9 AND Series 10 (or Series 8) equivalent licenses, as well as Series 3, if applicable. Business Enterprise Overview:

The NP Support Role is responsible for the day to day activities of leading, driving and managing business results within a Merrill Lynch Wealth Management branch office. The Branch RD will also coach and manage Financial Advisors (FAs). including training/education for new and existing FAs. Requires a thorough knowledge of the business units functional area and products, as well as knowledge of general policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. Must be licensed for supervisory responsibility. Key difference between current non-producing RD and Sales Manager is scope of role. The Sales Manager position is responsible for supporting market leadership and may have shared responsibility of Complex level performance goals. * Drives branch office performance results through planning, leading and executing strong sales and service behaviors, initiatives and activities. * Manages branch office financials, including profit and loss management, customer and revenue growth, and loss prevention. * Partners with ME/CD in the hiring of talent through hiring experienced Financial Advisors and trainees. * Interacts with clients on an advanced level regarding sales activities, account information, procedures, systems and range of financial services products * Directly supports leadership at market and/or complex level to achieve business goals, working with and leveraging the Office Management team (OMT) team. * Manages risk and ensures all employees are protecting the interests of the firm while enhancing the client experience.
