Senior Accountant - FCS

Advantage Solutions is looking for a GL Senior Accountant to join our growing Fulfillment and Collateral Services (FCS) Accounting division and work with the Controller and his team on the day to day accounting operations, month end closing, and financial reporting.  The ideal candidate should demonstrate a good grasp of US GAAP and internal control processes, and advanced Excel skills (pivot, VLOOKUP, sumifs).  Experience in inventory is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the daily journal entry activities to ensure accurate and appropriate recording of revenue and expenses for assigned departments / businesses.
• Prepare for month end close with review of revenue accruals and other recurring and non-recurring journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the process for account reconciliations and analyses, proactively investigate discrepancies and raise accounting issues to management
• Interact with other departments (billing and operations) to obtain data to support JE activities
• Participate in month end reporting and forecasting process 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4-7 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or equivalent job-related experience.
• Microsoft Dynamics AX experience a plus
• Experience with medium to large audited or public companies a plus
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and strong keyboard commands
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers.
