SUMMARY

Candidate will skillfully prepare a variety of hot or cold menu items accordance with Menus and Chef instructions. Cook may be assigned duty in Concession, Banquet, A La Carte, or Event Catering operations. Placement and compensation are based on related experience and skill level.

QUALIFICATIONS

One to five years food service /culinary experience. Candidates with stadium- casual-fine dining- hotel- banquet- private club or catering experience may apply. Candidates with culinary management experience and or culinary degree may apply for Chef/Supervisor positions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following. Other duties may be assigned):

  • Work under the direction of Chef or Supervisor
  • Daily set up, maintenance, and breakdown of work area /station
  • Become familiar with work area, kitchen equipment, and utensils applicable to position
  • Display ability to follow job specific instruction with attention to detail
  • Skillful and consistent preparation, portion control and presentation of menu items
  • Maintain professional disposition and work as member of cohesive team
  • Display ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
  • Keep Work areas/ stations clean and organized
  • Embrace Keeneland Hospitality culture that strives to exceed guest expectations
  • Adhere to Keeneland Hospitality Uniform, and Grooming Standards
  • Ensure Heath Code, sanitation and food safety standards are maintained*

Fayette County Food Handlers License and a Kentucky Horse Racing Authority License is required for all track workers.
