JOB SUMMARY

 

Working from a home based office under the general supervision of the Regional Director of Operations; our District Managers are responsible for managing the total service delivery for up to 20 apartment communities and providing direction and oversight for up to 15-20 service valets within the assigned district. District Managers ensure client satisfaction through conscientious recruitment, selection, training and management of service valets who perform door step trash collection and maintenance plus activity. They provide unparalleled customer service to property staff, and efficient operations management within their district.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Client Service and Support 35 %

  • Create and maintain cooperative working relationships and frequent communication with property staffs through daily site visits and immediate response to questions and concerns (20 %)
  • New community launches: Orient property staff on Valet Living services prior to start date (as needed)
  • Inspect properties regularly for resident and valet compliance (10 %)
  • Ensure daily delivery of iValet reports to designated property staff members
  • Promote to and educate property staff on any/all new service offerings from Valet Living
     

2. Service Valet Management 35 %

  • Forecast need for service valets
  • Recruit, select, determine fit, and orient new valets on Valet Living service expectations, operational standards and apartment community layouts within assigned district (10 %)
  • Ensure service delivery standards and performance outcomes (20 %)  Set clear service expectations and monitor operational standards  Resolve onsite valet challenges as necessary  Upgrade valet talent as necessary
  • Comply with, promote and train on all safety policies and procedures (5%) 
     

3. Operations Management 30 %

  • Control operations budget, resources and expenses
  • Verify, complete or process and submit service valet payroll on a daily basis
  • Document all activities for assigned properties in customer service database
  • Complete required administrative functions and reports for management 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years demonstrated experience in a leadership/management role required
  • Min of HS diploma, Associates degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic personnel policies including selection, interviewing, hiring, orienting, terminating and monitoring/evaluating compliance with service expectations and safety procedures required
  • Working knowledge of operations, including budget management required
  • Customer service experience required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and promptly respond to questions from service valets and clients
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and basic mobile applications
  • Experience operating, servicing or managing multiple locations strongly preferred
  • Experience with multiple part time employees strongly preferred
  • Experience working remotely with minimal supervision strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to establish rapport, respond immediately to service issues and effectively negotiate as needed
  • Ability to coordinate efforts and set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
  • Ability to perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands
  • Unwavering work ethic, integrity and sense of accountability
  • Ability to lead others
     

Special conditions of employment

  • Valid Drivers License and good driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive for periods of time
  • Flexibility to work and/or be on call during irregular hours depending on business needs
  • Ability to work outdoors and work/drive in changing weather conditions
  • Ability to climb stairs, walk distances, and be exposed to disagreeable odors
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be bilingual in English/Spanish 

 

Physical Requirements

  • 2 to 4 hours in one day 5 days per week
  • Must be able to do the following with up to 50 lbs. of weight
  • Walk up/down stairs (up to three stories)
  • Bend at waist and lift over shoulder
  • Bend at knees and lift over shoulder
  • Lift arms to shoulder height
  • Carry filled tote on shoulder
  • Walk distance of property
