We offer a full service deli and juice bar, a wide array of artisanal foods and specialty products, local organic produce, and much more. We are currently hiring for 1 part-time produce clerk and 1 full-time Produce Manager. Our produce department is committed to supporting local farms and educating customers about where their food comes from. Both of these jobs are fast-paced and ideal for someone who is self-directed, detail-oriented, and hard working.

Produce Clerk

This is a part-time position, and evening and weekend availability is required. Experience with farming, produce, or retail grocery is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities include:

• Stock produce shelves, maintain cleanliness and organization of produce department

• Keep displays looking beautiful, abundant and fresh

• Answer customer questions, assist in cashiering during busy times

• Must be able to be on his/her feet for an entire 8 hour shift and lift boxes up to 50 lbs

Produce Manager/Buyer

This is a full-time position with creative control and room for growth. Experience in retail buying and/or management is a plus. Experience in a produce department and strong organization skills are a requirement. Responsibilities include:

• Oversee all produce department operations – sourcing/purchasing, finances, inventory management, quality control, and training of new employees.

• Maintain strong working relationships with local farms and educating employees and consumers about the impact of supporting organic farming practices.

• Supervise produce employees and delegate tasks to be completed in a timely and efficient manner.

• Deliver excellent service to customers and respond to requests and comments with grace.

• Work with our deli department to utilize seasonal produce items and help minimize waste.

• Must be able to be on his/her feet for an entire 8 hour shift and lift boxes up to 50 lbs
