Providing Incredible, Knowledge Based Customer Service

  • Respond to emergency situations providing clear, calm, and decisive direction and providing medical care to the appropriate level of training/certification
  • Manage access control; verify vendors, contractors, and other visitors have a business purpose to be on site
  • Routinely patrol on foot and in vehicle the buildings and grounds of the complex
  • Enforce vehicle and safety regulations
  • Uphold procedures related to load integrity on inbound and outbound trailers
  • Perform preliminary investigations involving safety and security events
  • Properly document events that occur during each shift
  • Initiate maintenance requests as needed
  • Provide liaison assistance to emergency services personnel in an incident command role

  • Protect company property, corporate assets and the welfare and safety of employees, visitors and vendors with a strong emphasis on customer service
  • Observe surroundings in an effort to maintain safety, reduce shrink and prevent loss

Work Environment

  • Work includes sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours without a break, walking, occasional bending and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 10-25 pounds with a maximum weight of force applied of greater than 50 pounds rarely. The work environment involves seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. The work may also include clearing snow from entrances and walk-ways. May be exposed to various allergens.
  • May operate company vehicle

To maintain this position selected applicant must be able to successfully complete the following requirements: EMT Certification, AED/CPR/First Aid training & certification; successful completion of AP University training, including an evaluation process.

Employment at Wegmans may be contingent upon your completion and our evaluation of a drug screen and/or criminal background check.

This position may require driving a Wegmans vehicle. Candidates may need to submit a Driver's Abstract.
