A successful Business Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems or another related field; at least two years of experience preferred. 
  • Prior work experience tracking business unit(s) expenditures & performance within budgetary goals preferred. 
  • Strong competency using Transact SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel
  • Great attention to detail and ability to organize information in a logical manner. Self-starter mindset and takes initiative to follow through to ensure completion and accuracy. Team player mentality - ability to add value by consulting with customers and executing projects.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to evaluate large amounts of information and develop models to make the information meaningful and actionable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence people throughout the organization. Ability to think creatively and develop recommendations that advance Dish's business as a whole.

The Data & Analytics team aids numerous teams within DISH Procurement Team. We work closely with our Supply Chain team to combine powerful household level reporting data, analytics and expertise to help our sales staff succeed in a rapidly evolving environment.

 

The Data Analyst will be a key member of the Data & Analytics team by:

 

  • Builds customized reports and analyses and reports based on the needs of the business unit(s)
  • Perform special projects, research, analysis, and presentations at behest of senior DISH leadership. 
  • Manage and validate procurement data
  • Create strategic initiatives, programs & procedures in order to strengthen DISH Network business. 
  • Build and maintain solid business relationships with multiple departments to ensure a smooth and timely completion of projects
