Production Medicine Certified Veterinary Technician

Multiple Locations: Marysville, OH; Estherville, IA; and the Fort Dodge, IA area   Daybreak Foods, Inc., a multi-state commercial egg production company, is seeking to hire Certified Veterinary Technicians who have passion and enthusiasm for working with poultry in an agricultural, production medicine setting. The selected individuals will assist the Director of Veterinary Services and Biosecurity in their designated geographical areas, in the development and oversight of avian animal health, welfare and biosecurity programs and will also work closely with flock managers and animal caretakers to carry out routine health-related activities. Job responsibilities include assessment of flock health through field observation, routine data collection for disease surveillance and diagnostics, and administration of data collection and work-up for special preventive medicine project studies.    Interest and skills in laboratory diagnostic work is also a plus.
