Overview

If you want hands on experience on the Supply Chain team of one of largest off-price retailers in the nation, join the nationally-ranked Burlington Stores, Inc. internship program as a Supply Chain Intern! Are you entering your senior year as a full-time student pursuing your Bachelor’s degree? Do you have at least a 3.0 GPA? Are you interested in a career as a Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering professional? Are you a self-motivated, team player, with strong planning, organizational and communication skills? If so, this may be the right opportunity for you!

As a Supply Chain intern, you’ll work out of our New Jersey corporate campus. This won’t be your typical internship experience making copies and getting coffee! Throughout the comprehensive 10-week summer program, you’ll work side by side with industry leaders to gain practical knowledge and skills through your departmental assignment and a full understanding of what it’s like to be part of a cutting-edge supply chain operation in the fun and fast-paced world of off-price retail! You and the other members of your summer intern class will receive a comprehensive orientation program to get your started on the right foot. You’ll be partnered with a current member of the Finance team, who will serve as your “buddy” for support and guidance. Throughout the summer, you’ll participate in Leadership Development Seminars, Classroom-style trainings in areas related to your program, visits to market in NYC, tours of our stores and distribution centers, shadowing days where you can explore alternative career paths and learn about other key parts of the business, and community service projects – not to mention a variety of team-building social activities to help you get to know your intern class!

Upon graduation, many alumni of our internship program go on to join our team as full-time associates, either rejoining the team where they completed their internship program or in a different branch of the organization! We are a rapidly growing brand, providing a variety of professional development opportunities so our associates can grow with us.

Responsibilities:

• Improving Distribution Center operations
• Evaluating transportation alternatives
• Vendor negotiations
• Competitive bidding
• Cost analysis
• Budget forecasting
• Updating and evaluating trend information and other financials presented in weekly and monthly reporting

Candidates must be full-time students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering (or related field) with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above .
