Powder Coating Operator:
Essential Functions of powder coating:
Sets up powder coat and related equipment to exact specifications and prepares equipment for production.
Applies coatings to surfaces using powder coating equipment utilizing knowledge of the materials, tools, and fixtures used in the process.
Reviews color tags to determine color to use on parts as they enter the coating booth.
Identifies characteristics of surfaces to be coated and ensures proper preparation and application of coating.
Applies coatings in accordance with manufacturer Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and ensures proper cure time and temperature are achieved.
Prepares parts for rework and applies powder to correct coating defect.
Inspects and maintains equipment for compliance with safety requirements, including but not limited to, all guarding.
Ensures that items are properly hung on conveyor hooks. Hangs and removes parts from hooks when parts are not available to powder coat.

You will be training on 1st shift for 2 - 3 weeks and then will be transferred to 3rd shift. Must be willing to work 3rd shift to be considered.
1st shift 6:00AM - 2PM PM Monday - Friday with some Saturdays being mandatory
3rd shift 10P-6AM Mondday - Friday with some Saturdays being mandatory
Powder Coating - $12.00hr temp to hire 280 hrs temp to hire $13.00+ hr once hired in fulltime $14-$15+ when entering the Union.

POWDER COATING Leader in industrial storage systems
This position is responsible for using a variety of tools to both prepare a surface for coating and for coating metal tool storage unites surfaces. The coater must plan out the job to assure complete surface coverage and proper cure at the level of thickness designated by the manufacture specifications and according to standard practices.
