Days: Wednesday-Saturday

Hours: 9:00am-8:00pm

Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire

Aerotek is searching to hire a Help Desk Representative for one of the nation's leading electronic security system providers, headquartered in Gainesville, VA. Aerotek's client is seeking to hire a qualified individual to support this department as a result of company growth. Applicants should have prior experience troubleshooting electronics or working in a help desk capacity with a focus in service ticket creation/resolution.

Job Description:

The Help Desk Representative takes calls from customers who are requesting service for a malfunctioning security system, fire alarm, burglar alarm, or CCTV Camera at their store's location. All of the client's customers are large nationwide retail locations (including but not limited to: CVS, HH Gregg, Dicks Sporting Goods, Banana Republic, Gap, etc). The rep takes the service claim from the store employee and first attempts to troubleshoot the issue, followed by the creation of a service ticket if troubleshooting is unsuccessful. When a service ticket is created, it is then issued to the Service Technician in that area.

Qualifications:

Preferred prior experience working for Best Buy, Sears Electronics, HH Greg, Verizon/Sprint/At&t/Cricket/T-Mobile Tech Support, or any electronics company where the individual was responsible for troubleshooting electronic devices. Additionally, prior experience in an inbound call center, specifically a help desk oriented role, is highly desired as this position requires the incumbent to process (on average) 50 calls per day. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required, and Microsoft CRM experience would be a plus but is not required.
