Medical Billing Analyst

Job Description:

• 6 month project doing research for a payer to figure out why they keep overpaying and getting refunds from a provider.
• They will review COB's and EOB's to determine primacy for the insurance (primary and secondary insurance identification).
• From there they will figure out how the claim was originally paid and where mistakes were made causing the overpayment.
• They will look at benefit eligibility, COB rules, determining primacy, navigate EOB's.
• They will also review correspondence about the claims and overpayments to see where they need to be routed.
• The claims are going to be medicare/Medicaid related as the primary or secondary insurance.

Requirements:

• Experience in a Healthcare Analyst role.
• Experience with EOBs,COBs, and remits.
• Experience with Overpayments.

Hours and Pay:

• M-F 8-5
• 6 month contract
• $15-$24/hr. depending on experience
