About this job

Wood working company in East Earl looking for an Industrial Electrician.

Must support daily production requirements related to equipment and utilities uptime. This person must work together with all of the support services groups to meet department goals and communicate all necessary information related to equipment status to the Production Team Leaders, Finishing Team Leaders, Maintenance Team Leader, and/or the Facilities Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

* Understands production process' and supports/contributes opportunities for continuous improvement
* Ensures team goals are achieved through the use of Best Practices, Work Instructions/Story Boards and pre-established standards
* Keeps accurate and timely records related to pm/task work orders
* Facilitates root cause of machinery downtime failures
* Communicate directly with Production Team Leaders in prioritization of requested tasks
* High Level of Customer Service skills to satisfy equipment operator requests
* Performs routine maintenance on equipment
* Troubleshoots electrical and/or mechanical problems and perform repairs
* Assists with installation of machines and power systems
* Performs minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician such as replacing light bulbs and fuses
* Maintains machinery, equipment, and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, oiling, to ensure optimum working order
* Promotes safety through work procedures and employee safety programs. Ensure equipment is maintained in safe operating condition
* Performs any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader and/or Facilities manager


Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Job requires troubleshooting skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics
* Job requires basic skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and the AS400 system
* Job requires skills in written and verbal communication
* Job requires skills in the operation of a variety of hand tools
* Job requires planning, coordination and controlling skills.
* Job requires the ability to use a variety of hand and bench power tools and be able to operate equipment with various controls and adjustments
* Job requires the ability to read and interpret cad drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, use of measuring instruments (including but not limited to a tape measure, digital/dial caliper, micrometers, etc.) and follow written job instructions
* Job requires extensive troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to solve equipment downtime issues
* Job requires general knowledge of fire/security/spark detection systems
* Job requires general knowledge of HVAC systems

MUST HAVES
-Industrial electrician experience
-Hydraulic/pneumatic experience
-troubleshooting of industrial mechanical and electrical systems
