We are looking for Program Coordinator to fill an integral manager role within the organization. This role will be in-house at our customer office (a leading grocery retailer in the Chicagoland market).

 

The Program Coordinator is the liaison between the Program Director and the SAS retail/operations team. S/he is responsible for maintaining a strong communication flow between all parties as well as supporting the team by providing the necessary tools to execute our services in the best most efficient manner while delivering high-quality results.  Performs other duties as required and assigned.

As an SAS Program Coordinator, you will partner with retailers to enhance the consumer’s shopping experience. You will be responsible for maintaining a strong communication flow between all parties as well as supporting the team by providing the necessary tools to execute our services in the most efficient manner while delivering high-quality results. Duties, Responsibilities and Expected Contributions:

 

SAS Operations:

  • Strong leader with ability to lead teams and make effective decisions to encourage successful merchandising execution
  • Leading a team of Field/Retail Supervisors and collective retail execution team
  • Training and mentoring new Associates
  • Loads Project plan into SAS Technology Platform
  • Pulls the daily and weekly reports for retailer and operations
  • Handles day to day in-store execution matters and Issue Resolution Tracker
  • Works directly with Retailer Program Director/Lead
  • Responsible for recognizing team execution performance issues and addressing them.
  • Holds weekly staff meetings/conf. call for progress updates with Program Director
  • Responsible for communicating action for all direct reports, leads and merchandisers
  • Payroll responsibilities
  • Periodically performs store checks/visits
  • Tracks labor budget and cost of the program
  • Provides SAS Director daily updates of new and existing opportunities and the status of them
  • Responsible for informing territory Supervisors of issues regarding merchandisers and/or stores

 

Client Services:

  • Consults with Program Director and Retailer to align reset workload with ISE labor resources
  • Attends customer meetings at retailer and/or broker offices regarding ISE
  • Assists Retailer with issues/opportunities during execution of the ISE program
  • Provide reports to Retailer Supervisory staff regarding store completions and Store issues/opportunities
  • Works with Schematic Analyst Team on resolutions for schematic problems
  • Works with clients to create new business opportunities
  • Shares program status reports with customers on team performance & project status

 

Position Requirements:

A. Work Experience/Education Required:

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years progressive management/supervisory experience
  • Prior Broker, Retail, Retailer Service or merchandising experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred

 

B. Functional Knowledge and Business Expertise Required:

  • Proficiency in a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows-like interface
  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint, as well as Google Chrome & Internet Explorer
  • Must be able to work effectively in web-based applications
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive in a car for extended periods of time
  • Highly creative individual capable of implementing unique solutions to support organizational goals.
