$13.50/hour, Full-Time, Evaluation to hire
Role and Responsibilities
Operations:
- Input new loads/shipments into TMS (Mercury Gate).
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with customers.
- Reserve intermodal containers via booking system (REZ1).
- Make gate reservations for container entry into railhead. (UPRR, NS, CSXI)
- Ensure rail billing is put in place for containers at railhead.
- Dispatch origin/destination drayman for intermodal shipments.
- Track/trace pickup/delivery of containers while intransit and with drayman.
- Communicate load issues to customer, in coordination with Broker Lead.
- Update TMS system with load status updates and notes.
- Problem-solving and provide customer service
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Backup for Transportation Coordinator(s) & Broker(s)
- Broker loads – new accounts and overflow of existing
- Dispatch loads to carriers
- Negotiate rates
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience in Transportation/Logistics industry
Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
High school graduate
Preferred SkillsExperience as a Transportation Coordinator &/or Broker
Experience using Logistics software (Mercury Gate preferred)
College education preferred
Customer relations/service
