My client, a manufacturing company specializing in high precision machined components and assemblies for the aerospace and pharmaceutical industries, is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Operator to work on 1st shift. This is a long-term, permanent position with great benefits after hire. Lots of room for growth and advancement!
CNC Setup Operator Duties:
- Metrology-Proper set up, use and care of micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, PG Gauges, Indicators, profilometers.
- Visual and manual inspection for surface finish, burr or handling defects.
- Manual burr removal and surface polishing.
- Record inspection data and maintain documents.
- Maintain and record time and run quantities.
- Set up using Fanuc and Yasnac CNC Control panels.
- Read and interpret tooling and work holding set up documents.
- Work Holding set up-Vises, Chucks, Machining Soft Jaws, Special Fixtures.
- Operate CNC-small lot sizes.
- Inspection and appropriate offset edits.
CNC Setup Operator Qualifications:
- 4 years' CNC experience on 2 & 3 axis CNC lathes
- Blueprint reading per ANSI-Y14.5
- Ability to perform Metrology-Proper set up, use and care of micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, PG Gauges, Indicators, profilometers.
Hours: Monday - Friday | 6 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay: $18 - $25/hr, based on skills and experience
