Job Description

FITNESS EQUIPMENT SERVICE & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN needed for Premier Commercial Fitness Equipment Dealer in Lynnwood, WA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands and executes directions from leads and field supervisors
  • Is professional in appearance and in manners
  • Has good oral and written communication skills
  • Can follow verbal and written instructions precisely
  • Has physical strength and stamina required to lift, move, carry boxes and equipment, often more than 50lbs
  • Has ability to work in tight spaces, crouched positions; kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and stoop.Has strong work ethic and very ethical approach to the business; is punctual and self-motivated; must be available to work irregular hours and extended shifts
  • Has and maintains a current valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
  • Required daily travel in company service vehicle
  • Have basic technology knowledge and understand networks, TV cable signal, internet cable signal, mechanics, electrical flow, meter operation, amperage, DC voltage, AC voltage, ohms, resistance, current, continuity, and differences and functions between motors, generators, & alternators
  • Should be able to retain large amount of information for on the job application for performing maintenance, safely servicing customers equipment with the correct techniques and procedures, proper diagnostic troubleshooting, and familiarity with tools and the mechanical functions of each

Responsibility and Decision-Making Skills:

  • Takes ownership for assignment results and details; follows through to assignments completion
  • Can react to varying project/field conditions and able to make decisions to solve problems and changes in the scope of the work
  • Is responsible for other’s property, including clients building, equipment and property; is responsible for the companies provided assets (tools, phone, computer, tablet, vehicle, & all other company property) by keeping them clean, serviced, maintained, and working order

Administrative Skills:

  • Understands and follows through with consistent and accurate paperwork in detail of work performed, detailed time sheets, and inventory checklists
  • Paperwork is neat, clear, legible, and completed in a timely manner – daily
  • Communicates task status and problems to service manager in a clear and timely manner at the site and on reports the following day
  • Able to read detailed schematic diagrams of equipment
  • Competent in producing reports using Microsoft Suite is required
  • Takes pride in attention to detail, excellent follow up, unmatched organizational skills, superb verbal and written communication skills

Customer Focus:

  • Has passionately strong customer service attitude and mannerism; communicates easily, clearly, and effectively; is polite and cordial in all customer interactions
  • Is highly responsive to the customer requests and meets or exceeds the customers’ expectations.
  • Solicits and uses feedback for continuous improvement
  • Understands the importance of being professional and represents the best interest of the company thru; actions, speech, work ethic, & knowledge

Job Highlights:
